Strong. Light. Disk brake compatible. Spirit disk cranks result from a sophisticated effort to develop the highest possible strength to weight ratio and pedalling performance in a unicycle crank.
Spirit disk cranks allow installation of a standard disk brake rotor (not included) to the right hand crank. This enables the rider to install a disk brake and maintain an efficient pedalling stance, minimal weight, and the strongest possible wheel geometry. The rotor attachment is hardly noticeable for riders choosing not to use disk brakes. All cranks have double pedal holes for versatility.

Spirit Disk Brake Compatibility Requirements
Brakes:
- Disk brake with International Standard (IS) mount or IS adaptor.
- Brake caliper must clear 20 mm slot between disk rotor and inside face of crank. Tested on Magura Marta, Bengal Helix, Shimano BR-M575, and Shimano BR-M765 hydraulic disk brakes. Will fit most hydraulic disk brakes but not guaranteed to fit mechanical disk brakes. Check brake caliper fit before riding!
Disk Rotors:
- 160 mm or 180 mm
Compatible frames:
- 2012 or later KH unicycles with frame disk brake mount
- Pre 2012 KH unicycles with frame disk brake mount and Nimbus D'brake mount. May require equipment modifications, such as filing the outside face of the bearing housing by 0.5-1 mm (Moment hub) or 1-2 mm (KH/Schlumpf hub) to prevent the disk rotor bolts from rubbing on the frame. Important: user frame modifications void the KH warranty and are at the user's own risk.
- Other brands: 20 mm wide (or narrower) bearing housings and an International Standard disk brake mount on the frame or bearing housing.
Compatible hubs:
- KH Moment hub and KH/Schlumpf hub
- Other hubs: standard 100 mm ISIS unicycle hub with 154 mm or longer axle.
Recommended brake line lengths: 80 cm (KH24, 26, KH29); 105 cm (KH36 with extended touring handle)
